非常感谢，我收到了通信录。

我为自己祝福并且用了一小时写了这一页信。

现在我在一家通信起动公司当硬件设计工程师，工作时间很长，而且上下班得化许多时间。

总体上说，我喜欢我的工作。你知道的，我过去物理和数学很好，到美国后我还是擅长做手艺。-----喂，我还能做什么以谋生计？

在北加利福尼亚气候很好。这里有许多中国人，公司里有许多中国大学生，所以大部分时间我讲中文。如果一日回到中国，我决不会

提起我到过美国------我的英语水平这么差，我都不想说话了。好在当工程师的活儿我能干好，所以我能找到工作。

说起工作，现在美国，工作是一个难受的话题，失业率很高，在Santa Clars 县(我居住所在地)，工作岗位与2000年相比减少了19%。

但是我们家现在习惯了。

我有一个女儿，7岁，上学读书了，今年秋天将读2年级。女儿很幸福，她讲英语，她不要学中文。但是她喜欢中国絲绸衣物，

她爱爷爷奶奶。

我收到通信录，得知你们的情况非常高兴，再次感谢。

 Thank you very much, I've got the maillist.
 Congratulations to you, you are a speech writer! I
 only wish myself and write one-page letter in one
 hour.
 I am working as a hardware designer engineer for
 telecommunication start-up company, long-hours work
 day and after hours commute time each way. But overall
 I like my job, as you know I was pretty good at
 physics and maths, after I came to US I am also good
 at hand-on projects--Hey, whatelse I can do for a
 living?
 Good climate in North California, a lot of Chinese
 people in this area and a lot of Chinese collegues in
 the company, so most of time I speak Chinese, if I go
 back to China one day, I will never mention that I
 have been at US--my English is so poor that I even do
 not want to speak. Good thing is that as a engineer
 doing things right is also important, so I can find a
 job. Speaking job, it is a tough topic right now at
 US, unemployed rate is pretty high, in Santa Clars
 county (the palace I stay), there are less than 19%
 jobs compared with December 2000. But my family has
 already be acustomed it now.

 I have one daughter, she is just 7 and ready to go to
 second grade this fall. She is happy here, she speak
 English and do not want learn Chinese, but she loves
 Chinese silk clothes and her grandparents.
 Again, nice get the mailist and nice to know your
 situations. Please keep me informed about your
 advancement in your career.
